Application Standards
Delivering Wrapmate-level quality
Learn the professional application standards that ensure every Wrapmate installation meets consistent quality expectations.
Overview
Every Wrapmate Pro installation should meet a consistent, professional standard — clean alignment, secure edges, and a finish that reflects our shared quality commitment. These expectations ensure your installations perform well and maintain a polished, durable appearance.
General Application Standards
Always align graphics to match the approved production proof provided by Wrapmate.
Dry-fit panels before application to confirm placement and alignment.
All seams, overlaps, and edges must be straight, uniform, and clean.
Use heat guns only — never open flames — to warm material during application.
Avoid overstretching or over-heating the vinyl; this leads to premature failure.
All relief cuts and edges should be post-heated and sealed to the manufacturer's specifications.
🧱 Clean seams, consistent tension, and even heat ensure professional, lasting results.
Edges, Seams, and Corners
All film edges should be sealed properly to prevent lifting.
Overlaps should range between ¼" to ½" unless otherwise specified.
Ensure tight, consistent tension across complex curves or recesses.
Avoid wrapping film deep into channels where it could fail prematurely.
Remove all bubbles and wrinkles before post-heating.
✂️ Proper edge work distinguishes a Pro installer — attention to detail prevents callbacks and reprints.
Heat Application
Apply heat evenly to conform film to vehicle contours.
Maintain a surface temperature of 120°F–160°F for most applications.
Always post-heat edges, seams, and recessed areas.
Use a calibrated thermometer or IR gun to confirm consistent temperatures.
🔥 Controlled heat = controlled quality. Uneven heating causes texture and adhesion issues.
Material Handling
Handle printed vinyl carefully to avoid scratches or contamination.
Keep film clean and off the floor at all times.
Replace worn squeegee buffers to avoid surface damage.
Always verify panel orientation and sequence before installation.
🧤 Treat every panel as the finished product — because it is.
In Summary
Every install represents the Wrapmate Pro standard — precise, consistent, and durable.
By following these application expectations, you help maintain a level of quality that builds trust with customers and earns repeat business across the Wrapmate network.
